Terms of use

Applies to the Babytakt app (Android and iOS) and to family sync at sync.babytakt.app. Last updated: 14.09.2026. The German version is authoritative.

1. What Babytakt is

Babytakt is a diary for a child's first months, offered by bork.media (Thomas Borkowski, Leipziger Str. 35, 44577 Castrop-Rauxel, Germany). The app is free. There is no account and no contract about your data: everything you enter stays on your phone and belongs to you.

2. Sync is an offer

Family sync through our service is voluntary and free. We aim for reliable operation but do not promise constant availability. If the service fails or we discontinue it, your entries remain on your phone and in your backup file; only the sync between devices pauses.

3. For the family, not for strangers

A group is meant for invited family members and caregivers. Whoever invites decides who belongs and what that person may see. Invitations are personal; pass on links and codes only to people you want in the group.

4. What is not allowed

Unlawful content is prohibited, as is any attempt to disrupt the service, guess other groups or obtain keys by deception. If we learn of abuse, we may suspend the device concerned or the whole group. How to report abuse is described in the privacy policy.

5. Your backup, your responsibility

Backup files and cloud folders you choose yourself are in your hands. Their protection follows the rules of that storage, not ours.

6. Changes and law

If we change these terms, we replace the date above. German law applies. Questions are answered at hello@babytakt.app.
